Tuesday was an 8 point day, or dealing with frustration…
So what’s an 8 point day, you ask?
It has to do with a system I use when I know a day has
greater potential stress due to people and/or situations that I find annoying.
I fold over a 3×5 card lengthwise,
then I write the numbers 10 through 1 in 2 columns of 5 each.
As I encounter frustrating situations/people,
I cross off a number, starting with the number 10.
It’s my attempt to deal with annoying things which lie beyond my control.
If I can’t control them, at least I can set a quota.
Today was more like a ten point day,
but I couldn’t bring myself to assign the last two points,
and not for lack of available candidates….
I remembered this post from a fave blog of mine…
I get the impression that it can help me,
although I’m not quite sure how yet….
