the word Christian as an adjective has been watered down to nothing….

January 15th, 2008

I thought I’ve seen everything, but what I just saw takes the cake.

Three simple words, when put together,
sound the death knell for the word Christian used as an adjective:

Christian Payday Loans.
“Christian” Loans charging 260 percent Interest per year.

I won’t link to the site (why give these bottom feeders any link love?)

This site has the unmitigated gall to quote Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

A more appropriate verse may be 1 Timothy 6:10:

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith
and pierced themselves with many griefs.

As an aside, my username disappeared from your blog, I had to recreate it. How strange!
