“Team Building Exercise ‘99″
This video from “Flight of the Conchords”
has been bouncing around in my head -
it’s called It’s Business Time
excerpt from YouTube:
You’re not too tired from your
afterwork social netball team practice
There’s nothing good on TV.
Mmmmm…Conditions are perfect for making love.
You turn to me and say something sexy like,
“I might go to bed. I’ve got work in the morning.”I know what you’re trying to say, baby.
You’re trying to say
“Aww, yeah. It’s business time.”

Defcon 15: Dateline Undercover reporter flees
Defcon 15: Undercover reporter flees - Hack a Day:
I’m guessing this was pretty widely reported, but an NBC undercover reporter fled after being outed in the opening session. NBC Dateline associate producer Michelle Madigan refused press credentials on four separate occasions, choosing instead to pose as a normal attendee in order to covertly film other attendees. Defcon has a long running tradition of playing“spot the fed”, where attendees out people they think are federal agents. The feds play along and it’s all good fun. This was entirely different though: the game “spot the undercover reporter” was announced and she fled immediately, only to be filmed “To catch a predator” style.

I’ve never been to a Peter Gabriel concert,
and this live video makes me want to go see him live.
Signal to Noise is best explained by the man himself:
I think Signal To Noise, in part, is a cry for activism -
in the sense that there’s a lot of noise out there and the signal would be a sort of goal at the end.
This track was first performed live with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan at the VH1 Honors Awards on 28th April 1996. Unfortunately, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan died before his could record his vocals in the studio. It is thought that his vocals on this track on ‘Up’ are taken from this 1996 performance.
note: he is not seen in this video.
“A contrived Gulf of Tonkin-type incident may well occur to gain popular support for an attack on Iran.â€
Ron Paul stood on the floor of the House of Representatives and, in an open session, on the record, said,
“A contrived Gulf of Tonkin-type incident may well occur to gain popular support for an attack on Iran.â€
