A slight setback…
and I’m not talking about Game 5 of the World Series….
Went to the doctor today and found that
I not only gained back the 8 pounds I lost this spring,
but added 2 more pounds, putting me back @ 298 pounds.
Not good.

I did something today that I haven’t done in nearly eight months:
I didn’t go to church.
Since I set a target of attending church at least 3 times per month
way back in April, I’ve pretty much gone every week.
I guess it’s a good a time as any to see
what’s gone on in my life since then.

Leopard launch and NFF shot to hell….
day started bad - late to work and breakfast a la Wawa -
dealing with a laptop situation that didn’t end as well
as the customer thought it might.
Leopard (Mac OS 10.5) launch was insane,
with lines winding through the aisles for the latest release.
No More Fast Food Diet, day 2
I don’t know.
today was the second day of the No More Fast Food diet -
Lean Cuisine and a soup or sandwich for lunch
instead of Taco Bell, pizza joints, nachos, and Mickey D’s.
My BG’s been under 200 for 2 days straight,
which is a good thing.
The right ankle’s acting up again -
it really gets aggravated when I sit for a long time.
I need to sleep now.

it was a nice week off, but now I must return to work.
visited the doctor today - my A1C came back as 9.7 -
I pretty much have to not eat fast food at all,
which will make lunch interesting.
Stocked up on Lean Cuisine, chicken breasts, bran flakes,
yogurt, wheat bread, and whole wheat tortillas.
My next appointment’s in January,
so I need to have the A1C down to @ 8,
which will be interesting given the holidays.
I’ll see how things go at work,
but now I need to sleep.
