Gun violence hits a little closer to home….
November 22nd, 2006This guy worked at the Wawa right by where I work
I can remember him as a somewhat reserved quiet guy
having to wear Bandaids to cover the tattoo of his name in
a calligraphic script - probably a Wawa Corporate measure…
I came back from vacation to find this memorial to him
on the front counter, which is fitting, at least for me, as that
is where I best remember him.
I had to pull out the Razr and snap a picture of it -
one of the women who works there sort of gave me this
knowing look as if to say “I know why you have to do thisâ€
From the Philadelphia Tribune:
The bloodshed continued into Saturday, where at 1:51 a.m.
police were called to the 2100 block of South Saggett Street.
Police found the victim, 19-year-old Isaiah Sizer, of the 5800 block of Pentridge Street,
inside a parked car with a gunshot wound to the chest.A second victim, an 18-year-old male,
was found at the same location with a gunshot wound in the leg.Both victims were transported to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Sizer was pronounced dead at 2:36 a.m.
Rest in Peace.
