Following a concert tour in Australia (with five concerts at the prestigious Sydney Opera House), she was filmed for the upcoming IMAX movie “Top Speed,” where she will be featured alongside Olympic champion Marion Jones. She was just seen on the new Fox TV hit “30 Seconds to Fame” - and she is busy recording her second album.
Christy Crowl is an artist for our time. Hers is a voice of passion and inspiration in a world of cynicism and insecurity. She believes a heart-felt message delivered through a song can make an impact on the world. Christy has been called a modern day poet. She has been called the woman’s answer to Billy Joel. Anyone who has witnessed a live Christy Crowl performance is equally moved by her strength of spirit and humility. Her connection with an audience is immediate, her artistry impeccable. She is “an artist who is sure to make her own mark on the world of pop music” (Clint Gaige, WQCM Radio).
Over the past three years, Christy has received many honors as a singer/songwriter. With the release of her first solo album in 2000, her song “I See Light,” was chosen the theme song for the United Nations “Fete d’Excellence” gala concert in Geneva, Switzerland, where she performed live for dignitaries from around the world. “I See Light,” also received honors from Billboard, and Christy’s first released single, “Beautiful,” became a Top 40 hit on the Adult Contemporary charts during the summer of 2001, while she performed concerts in fifteen cities across the United States. This year (2002), Christy has added an ASCAP Award to her collection.
