“All you ______ are alike” - what the MSM gets wrong about the 2008 election

"All you _____ are alike."
If any individual made a statement like that
concerning women, African Americans, Mormons, or even Evangelicals,
he would be vilified in the press, and deservedly so.
And yet the MainStream Media (MSM) gets a pass - Why?
Is it just laziness born of shortcuts taken by harried correspondents
pressured by deadlines who haven’t the time (or the available interns)
necessary for the research required for a different storyline?
Is it the pure and simple fact of all media - conflict sells
that drives this Balkanization by demographics?
If you’re still reading this,
you’re probably not
the people to whom I’m referring.
They probably bailed somewhere between
harried correspondents and the thing about conflict selling.
So, if you could do me a favor.
If you know someone who covers politics
and commits the aforementioned errors,
please copy this quick set of reminders below
and relay it to them by whatever means you see as necessary:
Women ≠ Hilary Clinton
African Americans ≠ Barack Obama
Mormons ≠ Mitt Romney
Evangelicals ≠ Huckabee
African Americans, harried correspondents, Evangelicals, Mormons, women, media, necessary
