a new webhost and a new church service…

that’s when I finally got my new web hosting to work,
after much too much profanity spewed towards the screen
in a misguided belief that such yelling would do anything
vis-a-vis getting a functional server up.
I still don’t know exactly what it was that I did -
the last hour or so had the domain resolving and the admin panel accessible,
but the index file was not showing its smiling face, so I wound up
doing a full reinstall of WP from scratch, which seems to be doing the trick
(time will tell).
anyway, Bethel will be starting their Sat. Evening services
tonight with a series of messages called FAQ’s. The church gets the Web
in a way that few other churches do - sermon audio in MP3 format,
Notes in Word and PDF, you can even give online through PayPal
(although I keep wanting to rewrite the subscription form to make it less clunky -
which is difficult, given that I don’t even know who does their web stuff).
I’m digressing though… the Sat. Service should be a big win for Bethel,
given that you can get to Bethel from Franklin Mills without even
driving out of the parking lot - the building was a multiplex cinema
before it was converted to its current state.
If you’re looking to do the previously impossible,
i.e. do church and sleep in on Sunday, give it a shot.
speaking of sleep, it’s almost 5 AM - I’m going to sleep.
