A look back at the year so far…
December 3rd, 2007I did something today that I haven’t done in nearly eight months:
I didn’t go to church.
Since I set a target of attending church at least 3 times per month
way back in April, I’ve pretty much gone every week.
I guess it’s a good a time as any to see
what’s gone on in my life since then.
My involvement in Bethel has given me
something outside of work to focus on, which is a good thing.
Ushering has allowed me to get involved in a non-consuming way.
mereBreath doesn’t figure as prominently this time of year,
but come early next year it could become all consuming again.
I couldn’t imagine leaving - I’m just less than thrilled that the season’s end
usually gives me little recovery time before Back to School Sale starts -
so my real recovery doesn’t happen until Late September/October.
I wonder how my involvement at Bethel works into that?
I guess I’ll find out soon enough.
Speaking of mereBreath, we’re doing a short Nativity based piece
this Saturday for international students - I play the Wise Guy,
which I’m doing in an Alton Brown in Good Eats style.
Don’t worry - it’s only 2-3 good sized paragraphs, tops.
Anyway, back to the year so far…
I’ve managed to get my glucose back to the 140-160 range in the last few months
doing the No Fast Food diet. Haven’t weighed myself lately, so I have no news on that front.
The job is getting more frustrating and I’m trying to be more detached,
with varying degrees of success from day to day.
Right now I’m just enjoying the rest and listening to
some E.S. Posthumus and realxing.
