Six-Dimensional observations…
May 30th, 2006Let’s start off with the dimensions as we commonly think of them:
- 3 spacial dimensions (L x W x H)
- 1 temporal dimension (L)
You can probably see where I’m going here…
Where are the temporal equivalents of Width and Height?
Where are the temporal X and Y axes to our temporal Z axis?
We only need to add one temporal dimension to get the
parallel universes/futures thing happening -
i.e. to have time be planar as opposed to linear.
it could also introduce the possibilty of experiencing time as being either
a vertical or horizontal sine wave instead of a straight line -
add a third temporal dimension and you could get events expressing themselves
in the form of 3D waves - a literal ocean of space/time.
which, of course, brings up metaphors of a 6D space/time storm surge,
6D space/time tornados, tsunamis, whirlpools, etc.
I’m even having a hard time getting it all into my head….
