“I am the Jesus Christ of politics”

it’s the Italian PM, working his way up from an earlier
comparison of himself to Napoleon….

[Ananova] Italian PM: ‘I Am Jesus’:

The Italian Prime Minister has been slammed after comparing himself to Jesus Christ.

Silvio Berlusconi was criticised by political opponents over the reported remarks.

Mr Berlusconi apparently told supporters in Rome:

“I am the Jesus Christ of politics.”

He said this was because he puts up with everyone and sacrifices himself for everyone.

Marco Rizzo, a communist parliamentarian, called the remarks a “grotesque comparison”.

And left-wing MP Giuseppe Giulietti joked that he was sure that

“God the Father and the rest of Jesus’ family did not take this very well”.
